NCSC: 5 steps every charity should take to improve their cyber security
The first webinar of this series focused on the threats charities face from cyber attacks and the effect this could have on their organisation.
In this session, we look at the simple, free or low cost steps every charity should be taking to protect themselves online.
Throughout the series we’ll continue to build on these foundational steps to ensure charities of all sizes understand what they should be doing to stay secure.
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), a part of GCHQ was established in October 2016 to help protect the UK from cyber attacks, manage major cyber incidents, and provide advice to citizens and organisations on how to keep themselves secure online.
Its vision is to help make the UK the safest place to live and work online. With the threat from cybercrime increasing, it is vital that all organisations – including charities – understand the potential impact of a cyber attack and take proactive steps to reduce the risk of becoming a victim.
