The Children’s Society is to overhaul the technology it uses to manage its relationships with donors, staff and supporters.

The charity has chosen Microsoft Gold Partner m-hance to handle its customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

This will involve m-hance’s range of NfP products that are tailored specifically for charities and developed from Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement.

The charity has made the move after highlighting a number of challenges to its management systems. This includes using multiple databases and sources, which created “data silos”, says a statement from m-hance.

Other challenges with the current system are having no single way of looking at interactions and requiring manual updates to ensure data is up to date.

“Plus financial information is hard to track and reconcile. Cumbersome processes, poor visibility of data and difficulties in accessing and using data to deliver the supporter engagement strategy all add to current challenges,” says the m-hance statement.

The new system aims to remove disconnected systems and spreadsheets and create a more flexible and easy way of managing data that will save staff time.

This includes areas such as event booking, supporter applications and chasing debt.

Engaging supporters

“Creating clear and tailored communications plays a vital role in ensuring our supporters are engaged and believe in what we do,” said Cyrus Bulsara, eCRM Product Owner from The Children’s Society.

“We are excited about how this new partnership will enable us to deepen our understanding of their support and in turn drive engagement so we can help even more vulnerable children and young people.”

Tory Cassie, NfP Business Development Consultant added: ““We are delighted to have been selected by The Children’s Society for this exciting CRM project. NfP 365 Enterprise is a fantastic solution for charities as it is specifically tailored to address many of the unique challenges faced by the sector.”

Among other charities m-hance works with are Solent Mind, Concern Worldwide and the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Last year Epilepsy Action announced it is using m-hance’s CRM system.
