Charity Digital has announced Claire Tavernier as its latest addition to the trustee board.

Since 2001, Charity Digital has worked closely with tech sector partners to deliver over £200m in savings to more than 33,000 UK charities through the Charity Digital Exchange software donation programme.

The organisation runs Charity Digital News and Charity Digital Jobs – the first jobs board in the UK to focus solely on digital roles in the charity sector.

Charity Digital has launched its first full-day educational conference for charities this year with the inaugural Charity Digital Tech Conference, which took place on the 13th February.

Tavernier is a senior leader and board member with over twenty years’ experience building and growing successful content and digital businesses.

Most recently, Tavernier was the Interim CEO of Girl Effect, a media and digital organisation founded by the Nike Foundation, which she joined as COO in 2017. Girl Effect, a nonprofit, builds digital platforms and content brands at scale to meaningfully impact girls’ lives in the most difficult places in the world.

She has won multiple awards for her work in the TV and digital space. Until 2015 she was Managing Director of ChannelFlip, one of the original UK-based YouTube multi-channel networks. From 2001 to 2012, she was the Global Head of Digital for international television producer Fremantle, working on TV formats including Idol, Got Talent, The X Factor and The Price is Right, as well as managing original digital productions and partnerships.
