Online safety charity hires agency on funding brief
The Internet Watch Foundation has tasked agency Skating Panda with helping to develop a sustainable funding model.
Online safety charity Internet Watch Foundation has hired an agency to help develop its funding strategy.
Communications and strategy agency Skating Panda has been recruited by the charity to help develop a sustainable future funding model, to support its global battle to remove online child sexual abuse content.
This is the second time the agency has been hired by the Internet Watch Foundation, having previously worked on a communications strategy to engage more young men in online safety issues.
Work being carried out by Skating Panda will include consulting with stakeholders on funding models.
“We are so pleased to be working with Skating Panda again and hugely excited about the next chapter for Internet Watch Foundation,” said Emma Douglas, Development Director at the Internet Watch Foundation.
“Having worked with the team there before, we are confident that they are as passionate about our cause as we are. The work delivered by this project will be crucial to enabling us to continue to make the internet a safer place.”
Skating Panda Strategy Director Kevin Sutherland, who is leading the project, added: “We are delighted to be working with the Internet Watch Foundation again and eager to help create a sustainable future for the charity to continue to do its critical work, particularly at a time when there is such intense scrutiny on the role of industry and regulators in making the Internet a safer place, especially for children.”
Earlier this month the Internet Watch Foundation added Liberia to its global reporting network, which aims to make it easier for people to report suspected images and videos of child sexual abuse.
