The Centre for Acceleration of Social Technology (CAST) is running a number of free, half-day workshops for charities.

Following the success of similar events last year, CAST’s ‘Design Hops’ will give attendees a practical introduction to the key concepts of tech for good and digital development for charities.

CAST says it will help charities explore the potential of digital to deliver better services, with practical next steps to make it a reality.

Guidance and support

The workshops are a chance to unpack a key organisational challenge and identify how digital might help. CAST experts will then take charities through a series of exercises that will help them write a brief to tech partners about what they need to do, which could double as a pitch to funders that may suit live funding opportunities.

They will then recieve follow-up supporter from CAST and their partners.

The workshops will be taking place in London on 22nd November and Manchester on the 6th December – applications are open now and will be closing in early November.

Previous participants have included small north Lancashire and Cumbria not-for-profit, The Well who said: “We worked with the extraordinary people from CAST on our rapid response service Warrior Down. Even though we only spent a little more over a half day, we achieved so much!”
