Blockchain payment tech offers transparent donations
Cryptocurrency players develop AIDpay embeddable widget for charity donations in 23 cryptocurrencies.
Blockchain-based payment platform UTRUST has launched an integration with charity cryptocurrency token AidCoin that will enable UTRUST users to make instant, seamless and secure digital donations to charities around the world.
Previously, cryptocurrency donors have been able to donate to multiple charities via the UTRUST interface using two possible methods: by cryptocurrencies transferred directly and instantly converted into AidCoin tokens, which are managed by charities within a single AIDChain wallet; or through a ‘Donate’ button that enables donors to transfer UTRUST tokens (UTK) from their UTRUST wallet to the desired AIDChain wallets of charities.
The core technology that now enables both parties to offer a more streamlined collaboration is AIDPay – an embeddable ‘widget’ that allows donations for charities registered on AIDChain (in 23 cryptocurrencies) through side applications and websites. Following the integration, users can track the journey of all donations from start to finish, and know exactly how the donated money is being spent.
“UTRUST has built upon its reputation as one of the principal secure payments gateway providers bringing crypto payments to the mainstream,” said Nuno Correia, CEO at UTRUST. “The company has over the last 12 months joined forces with the likes of blockchain technology provider DigiByte, Singapore-based POS platform Pundi X, Germany’s largest e-commerce solution, Gambio, and UMT – which claims to be the largest European platform for mobile payment and mobile commerce.
Correia added: “UTRUST’s collaboration with AidCoin serves as its latest move in positioning itself as the conduit for implementing cryptocurrencies for everyday use within financial services and e-commerce.”
“We’re excited to introduce an opportunity for crypto-holders to donate cryptocurrency straight from their Utrust wallets seamlessly, or when making a payment,” said Francesco Nazari Fusetti CEO and Founder, at AidCoin. “This is, of course, a well-established practice in conventional banking and payments solutions, and yet until now, has been an unprecedented case in the crypto world.”
