Match-funding platform The Big Give has contracted online-fundraising and payment-solutions provider Charity Checkout as a live donations processing partner.

London-based Charity Checkout’s fundraising technology will support The Big Give’s mission of providing a platform to promote good causes and to inspire people to give by showcasing charities and their projects.

“The Big Give has big ambitions to help raise more for great causes through online match funding,” said Alex Day, Director at the Big Give. “We were seeking a payments-technology partner to help us achieve these goals and we are delighted to be working with Charity Checkout. Their technology will help us achieve our aims, and we are looking forward to growing together.”

Founded in 2007 by Sir Alec Reed, The Big Give has raised more than £97 million for UK charities. It enables donors to discover charities and projects of interest, make donations and offers the opportunity to double these donations through match funding campaigns that are run across the year.

“We are pleased to have been selected to partner with The Big Give, and look forward to helping to facilitate the growth of future campaigns,” said Charity Checkout CEO, Chester Mojay-Sinclare. “Working with The Big Give marks a significant step in Charity Checkout’s growth as it continues to work with some of the UK’s biggest charities and most popular online appeals.”

Mojay-Sinclare added: “The partnership with the Big Give allows the platform to create charities independently in the Charity Checkout system to allow donations to be processed through The Big Give, and to ensure that charities are being paid out [as part of a] seamless migration from their previous donations processor.”

Charity Checkout has helped over 2,500 charities raise millions of pounds for good causes since it was founded by Mojay-Sinclare  in 2012. Its clients include SSAFA, Habitat for Humanity and Harrison’s Fund.
