Accounting, payroll and payment system software provider Sage is making licenses for Sage Business Cloud People available as a donation for eligible nonprofit organisations.

The company is offering donated admin user licenses, plus 50% license contribution for all subsequent licences, for its cloud-based people management software.

Sage will be adding the people management offering to the software products already available as donations for charities from its Sage Business Cloud suite, including its cloud accounting, financial and enterprise management solutions.

The initiative comes as part of the company’s social enterprise Sage Foundation, which launched in 2015. In November 2017 the Foundation announced the launch of its Sage Foundation Enterprise Fund grants, which has given over $1 million to facilitate the growth of small nonprofits with unique ideas.

The company says that the donation will empower global nonprofits with the tools they need to keep staff and volunteers engaged.

“Focusing on people is a smart way for both businesses and nonprofits to boost productivity and drive success,” Said Paul Burrin, VP of Sage Business Cloud People.

“Nonprofits, and their employees, are an integral part of the workforce. These organisations and the people who dedicate their time to them, contribute social good, better us as a people, and should be celebrated for the great contributions they make to society at large. Sage is dedicated to helping these organisations by providing HR & People Management solutions to attract, retain, engage and get the best out of their volunteers and employees.”

Sage also offers industry-specific platforms such as the Sage Live Nonprofit solution which integrations with the Salesforce Nonprofit Starter Pack.

To be eligible for a 50% license contribution for Sage Business Cloud People, organisations must be registered with their local TechSoup partner – Tech Trust in the UK. They must also deliver programmes aligned with Sage Foundation’s charitable ethos.
