Airbnb Social Impact Experiences helping London-based charities
Airbnb has introduced Social Impact Experiences, giving charities the opportunity to host, publicise and manage an experience – all on a trusted platform.
The new offering aims to help charities increase their reach and raise awareness through Airbnb.
How it works
Eligible charities can set up Social Impact Experiences, whether that be a workshop, talk, activity or tour to help raise funds and get the word out about their goals.
Once created, charities can promote the experience on their own channels and their experience will feature on the Airbnb platform too, giving organisations an opportunity to broaden their reach to those who may not be their usual demographic.
With no service fees, charities can be assured that 100% of the revenue from a Social Impact Experience goes directly to their organisation. The organisation has total control over the ‘what’, ‘when’, and ‘where’ and can also manage payment and attendees directly through the Airbnb platform.
Who can take part and how?
The initiative has been rolled out to registered charities in a number of cities worldwide, but for now, London is the only UK location to have Social Impact Experiences.
