Charitable donations made by text fell by £7m last year
Charitable donations made by text fell by £7m last year, according to figures published by the Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA).
The organisation’s 2016/17 annual report revealed that the value of text donations to charity declined by 6% from £122 in 2015 to £115m last year, despite a modest increase being predicted in its previous report.
The charity sector remains the largest sector in the phone-paid services market – and is still an important source of income for charities.
