Is video the last word in social media?

A new report has found that less is more when it comes to the use of words in social media – as video continues to gain traction.

Animoto, a cloud-based video creation service, surveyed 1,000 consumers and 500 marketers to find out how video is making an impact. The data showed that 64% of consumers say watching a video on Facebook has influenced their decision making in the last month.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a recent earning call that, “Ten years ago, most of what we shared and consumed online was text. Now it’s photos, and soon most of it will be video.”
