Charities mix it up with #GBBO hashtag

Last week the Great British Bake Off returned to our TV screens, and numerous charities are already making the most of the public’s baking euphoria.

On August 5th, Macmillan used the #GBBO hashtag to draw people’s attention to its latest coffee morning campaign, which reminds people that “cake tastes better together”.


The Royal Marsden Charity on the other hand utilised the trending hashtag as a way to urge its Twitter users to sign-up to its baking challenge, taking place this September.


Breast Cancer Now took to twitter following the bake off to encourage its supporters to organise their own #wearitpink bake off and help beat breast cancer.
