Submit your digital story to Storymakers 2014 for cash prizes

Charities can change the world through storytelling. But to do that, their stories need to stand out and be noticed.

The Storymakers campaign 2014 empowers nonprofits, libraries, and charities with the tools and training to tell their stories, get noticed, and make an impact.

As part of the Storymakers challenge, TechSoup will be hosting a series of educational webinars and interactive events to help social good organisations create and share better stories.

Storymakers culminates in a challenge. Starting August 26th – September 26th, participants can submit any of the following digital stories to be in the running for big cash prizes:

  • a two minute video;
  • a short-form Vine or Instagram video; or
  • a five-picture Flickr slideshow

Webinar lineup:

Winners will be announced at a gala event on October 29th.

  • Great idea for a simple storytelling competition. Do we have anything similar in the UK? Perhaps some of us could get together and start one up? Our website http://www.useyourcommunity.com has enabled many people to have their own stories about developing community connections with people they never knew existed in their area or never even thought of talking to. I am sure many other organisations have similar stories of creating wonderful connections.
