Blog your way to donations

With all the digital technologies out there to choose from, there are even more ways to promote your charity through the internet. One way of doing this is by hiring a blogger to raise awareness of your cause. A recent article for Reason Digital suggests a few tips to bear in mind if you decide to choose this route. We have summarised these below:

  1. Do your research. Find a blogger who will fit in well with your charity. Look for high quality work – they will be representing your charity, after all.
  2. Set objectives. Ask yourself what you want to gain from using a blogger. Is it to drive donations or simply raise awareness?
  3. Get to know them. Find out their story and why they are affiliated with your cause.
  4. Return the favour by promoting their blog, linking to their site from your social media channels and retweeting where possible.
