JustGiving simplifies mobile giving with ‘one touch’ donation process

A new ‘one-touch’ donation process has been launched by online giving platform JustGiving which aims to make it quick and easy to donate to charity.  The process is thought to be the fastest way to pledge through mobile.

When people donate on mobile, their details and preferences will be automatically saved. This removes to need to purchase with a debit card on hand. UK donors will also gain access to a simplified Gift Aid opt –in process. JustGiving predicts that by 2014, 70% of all traffic will be from mobile devices.

Lee Marshall, Product Manager at JustGiving, explains: “The way that people give is changing – more than ever, people want to give wherever and whenever they want, on any device. In a world full of distractions, it’s vital for us to continue to make giving as easy and intuitive as possible. Giving through this new interface is not only breathtakingly fast, but it also means UK charities are more likely to benefit from GiftAid, even on mobile. Our next challenge now is to encourage mobile donors to give more, and more often, to their favourite causes.”
