In a recent article for Civil Society, Kirsty Weakley summarises Dame Mary Marsh’s Leading Social report. The report states how information about who is responsible for data in the sector should be highlighted in a ‘data manifesto’. Additionally, there should be more “openness and innovation,” with Marsh putting forward the idea of a data store where organisations can input their data and share it with others.

Furthermore, the report calls for increased digital fluency in the sector. It states that knowledge surrounding digital technology is not as developed as it should be, particularly at board level.
