Charities need an effective social media strategy
New research has highlighted how important it is for charities to have an effective social media strategy in place.
A successful strategy will help to attract the next generation of donors and encourage participation and active involvement in the cause. The study revealed that 56% of teenagers in the USA discovered charities through social media sites, proving that sites such as Facebook and Twitter are useful platforms to connect with future supporters.
UK research from Halifax Insurance Digital Home Index demonstrated the extensive use of online technologies, with 75% of the population using smartphones and laptops daily. 35 million people also admitted that checking their social media site is the first thing they do in the morning.
