Friends of the Earth this week opens its doors to the world of digital start-ups with a prize worth thousands of pounds.
The environmental campaigning organisation has launched its inaugural Start-up in Residence scheme, offering like-minded start-ups the chance to win a residency in its award-winning office in London, beginning in February 2017.
The prize, which includes six months’ free desk space, represents an estimated cost-saving of over £8,000 and includes access to internal training and networking events.
The residency is supported by HubbleHQ, the online marketplace that connects startups and other small businesses with those who have space to rent out.
Candidates are asked to submit a brief business plan and a short video outlining how their ambitions complement Friends of the Earth’s values. Applications are open now and the competition closes on 11 December 2016. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch their business to a panel of judges in January 2017.
