Star-struck fans can now win the opportunity to chat to their favourite stars following the launch of a new charity app.
Thanks to new social app Chatter, lucky fans will get five minutes of undivided attention from their favourite stars – if they win a raffle. Fans are able to purchase a $5 (£3.80) raffle ticket through the Chatter App, with a random winner having the opportunity to chat one-on-one via video link.
Chatter launched – in the US initially – after securing seed funding from Innovation Factory. Celebrities signed up to participate include Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake, YouTube star Arika Soto, Snapchat star YesJulz, and Instagram models @Chantelzales and @SophiaMiacova. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
“Chatter is the easiest way for stars to donate to a charity of their choice,” says Teague Egan, co-founder of Chatter. “It’s a very simple concept that’s taking off because it’s easy and fun to use, and everyone comes away with positive vibes. We have a scoreboard that we will be unveiling in the near future, which tracks how much stars raised for charity through Chatter. I’m excited to see stars compete to see who raises the most!”
