Advertising Agency BBD Perfect Storm has come up with a bit of fun that could do lasting god for charities with a festive hashtag generator.
Mocking some Twitter users’ obsession with excessive hashtags, the #Xmashtag Christmas hashtag generator will join together four different words to come up with over 10,000 combinations.
Creating festively futile fun such as #RoastedFiggyJoyLog and #FrostyJesusBoxingMince, the generator is sure to be a hit with Twitter users bored of the usual yuletide hashtags.
For every unique tweet used the agency will donate 10p to SCT, a London-based charity for people affected by homelessness, addiction, poverty or social isolation.
‘Obsessed with ridiculous hashtags’
BBD Perfect Storm’s executive director Seb Hill told Digital Arts: “Our industry, and indeed the world, is obsessed with ridiculous hashtags. We hope people see the ironic cliché in this campaign and embrace the XmashTag to spread some #ChristmasJoy, whilst doing some good at the same time.”
