Plan UK is building a new website focused on driving conversions, increasing awareness of its work and supporting its fundraising and campaigning activities.
Plan UK is an international development charity working with children and their communities in some of the world’s poorest countries to help them escape poverty and fulfil their potential.
Tens of thousands of people in the UK sponsor a child in the developing world through Plan, and the charity is also leading the fight for gender equality through its ‘Because I am a Girl’ campaign, the world’s largest campaign for girls’ rights.
Bringing expertise on board
The charity has hired digital agency Big Mallet for the build. The agency will be working in close partnership with its sister agency, digital fundraising specialist, Clockwork Pie.
Clockwork Pie is providing the strategic consultancy around user journey mapping, information architecture and conversions, while Big Mallet is designing and building the site.
Imogen Wilson, Plan’s Head of Communications, says “Over the last two years our organisational priorities have evolved and we need to make sure our website reflects this evolution.
“The website is a major tool to engage our audiences and demonstrate the impact of our work, as well as a key platform for donations, campaigning and child sponsorship conversions.
“We need to ensure the new site is fully responsive, easy to navigate, simple to update and reflects our global brand.”
