A new video campaign from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home called #WhoNeedsWho? highlights the important role pets play in people’s lives.
The video focuses on different pet owners and the power of the relationships between them and their animals.
The animal shelter says: “Our dogs and cats need to be rescued, a Battersea pet can rescue you too.”
‘They’ve adopted us’
A man who suffers from depression tells us how he was prescribed a dog by his psychiatrist, while another family wax about the happiness their dog Boris – who bears a passing resemblance to his mayoral namesake – has brought to their lives.
The video ends with a couple saying of their two rescue dogs: “They’ve adopted us, really, as much as we’ve adopted them.”
