Bloodwise is the new name for the blood cancer charity formerly known as Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. In order to spread the word about its rebranding – including its new website –the charity has produced a video and launched a social media campaign spreading the message: “There are 137 different types of blood cancer. We’re here to beat every single one”.
Taking to Twitter, the charity started the hashtag #WeAreBloodWise, encouraging people to get involved by “sharing something that sums up what being Bloodwise means” to them.
Bloodwise also started a Thunderclap, enabling its message and new video to be to be mass-shared.
New and improved website
According to a blog post by Rich Williams, head of creative and digital, the aim of the charity’s new website is to “put the user at its heart and to allow visitors to choose their own path based on the task they are trying to complete”.
Williams said: “It was a massive undertaking for a charity of our size and we really hope you enjoy using it.”
