Reach Volunteering, a skilled volunteering charity, has launched a new online service connecting charities with volunteers.
The service not only allows volunteers to post public profiles showcasing their expertise, but also gives charities the opportunity to post their volunteer openings and look for people who match the required skills.
The service, which is “part funded by an Innovation in Giving award from the Cabinet Office and Nesta“, allows charities and volunteers to communicate directly.
Janet Thorne, Reach chief executive, said: “Charities looking to recruit will have access to a larger pool of highly skilled individuals. Volunteers looking to make a difference will find it quicker and easier to access interesting opportunities. It’s a simpler and more transparent way for both charities and volunteers to find what they need.”
