Breast Cancer Care has employed Jo Kerr in the new role of Assistant Director of Digital. Jo brings her expertise from Girlguiding where she was Head of Digital Communications for a year and a half. Jo developed the charity’s first ever digital strategy, launched a new website and co-created new digital services for over half a million girls and volunteers.
Jo topped The Drum’s 50 under 30 list in 2014, recognising women in digital industries, and will now be heading up Breast Cancer Care’s growing Digital team.
She says: “I am so excited to have joined Breast Cancer Care. The Digital team is really dynamic and there are some great plans in the pipeline such as the re-launch of our website. One of my key goals is to make the charity’s information and services easier to access on new technology, like tablets and mobiles, to ensure we’re reaching everyone who’s looking for support after a breast cancer diagnosis.”
Diana Jupp, Director of Services and Campaigns at Breast Cancer Care, says: “We are thrilled to have Jo join Breast Cancer Care this week to help us develop new and innovative digital services. This is crucial for us to achieve our vision of every person affected by breast cancer getting the best treatment, information and support.”
