An innovative partnership between housing and homelessness charity Shelter and LateRooms.com is helping give people facing bad housing and homelessness new hope.
Via £5 donations for every hotel booking made in December and January, and a competition to promote the charity’s ‘Slippers for Shelter’ initiative, LateRooms.com raised a staggering £100,000 – enough to allow Shelter to help over 3,000 families keep a roof over their heads.
Jesper With-Fogstrup, Managing Director of LateRooms.com, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been able to support the Slippers for Shelter campaign. Providing people with a room to call home for a short while is what we specialise in at LateRooms.com, so partnering with Shelter made absolute sense. It’s incredibly humbling to work with a charity which provides a lifeline for families who face losing the roof over their heads, and something we’re very proud of.”
