Specialist fundraising company GiveSmart is supporting an Olympic-themed project in Winchester which aims to raise a community fund for new sports facilities in just 2012 hours.
GiveSmart is providing an online fundraising platform that allows guests to buy event tickets, donate, bid on items in the auction and find out how many of the 2012 hours are left.
Emma Back, ‘2012 hours’ campaign co-ordinator said: “I wanted a platform that could offer a silent auction, online donation facility and a ticket shop. GiveSmart did all this and could tailor the site to match the 2012 hours branding. I’ve enjoyed working with the GiveSmart team so far and I’m hoping that together we can raise a lot of money for new sports facilities in Winchester.”
Max Romer, Founder and Chief Technical Officer at GiveSmart said: “We’re honoured to be supporting this one-of-a-kind fundraising campaign. The online bidding platform works perfectly for ‘fundraising marathons’ like 2012 hours and will really help to maximise the funds raised. Make sure you text 2012 to 88850 to take part!”
