In a bid to digitise its whole operation, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has worked closely with WPN Chameleon (WPNC) to design a unique fully responsive website hooked directly into its Salesforce CRM platform.
The charity had noticed a very significant trend – around 50% of their website usage was on mobile devices, mainly tablets or smartphones, around 20% higher than industry averages – so it was critical the site would be device-responsive.
WPNC designed two concepts for the website, which were presented to the team at Battersea, and then the design team then worked with the UX team to take the best ideas from each concept through to the final creative idea, look and feel, navigation, information architecture and both mobile and desktop layouts.
Steve Shields, Digital Project Manager at Battersea, said:“The Home is a world-class establishment, and this project aimed to bring our systems – both internal and external – up to that very high standard. We are very pleased with the way the website has been received, and have never had so many applications to become a volunteer or rehome an animal through the site. And it’s driving fundraising too, across multiple devices and payment channels, which is brilliant news for the home and the animals it cares for.”
