Throughout July and August, Age UK Milton Keynes and Enterprise Marketing Solutions will be holding a Social Media Summer School to help local charities and businesses learn to use social media more effectively.
There will be three interactive workshops held at The Peartree Centre, Peartree Bridge, from 8-10.30am: a more in-depth look at Facebook (24th July), Twitter (7th August) and LinkedIn (21st August).
Age UK Milton Keynes marketing manager, Paul Griffiths, said: “As a local charity we are using social media more and more to communicate with our service users and supporters, and it is important that we do this in the most effective way possible. These workshops provide a fantastic opportunity to learn from ‘the professionals’. And, where we can’t undertake activities for ourselves, we will at the very least become more informed clients when working alongside external consultants.”

With this in mind, Virgin Money Giving is hosting a series of free live events between 5th and 7th October to help charities grow their corporate fundraising.
