Grassroots launches #StayAlive app to help suicidal people

A new innovative phone app #StayAlive will launch next month, which aims to help people who are feeling suicidal.

The app was commissioned by Brighton-based suicide prevention charity Grassroots and the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and was developed by Eastbourne-based digital company Switchplan.

The app will automatically use a person’s location to draw in details and information about services and help available in that area. Its Lifebox section will encourage users to upload photos to remember all the good things in their life.

  • This is a great idea for an app and so relevant for people who need help quickly. Does anyone know whether this app is working? People can also contact us through our website for a chat or to be referred to their local community organisations for support.
