A number of UK charities have shown their support for a new mobile app, Alert5, that enables people to alert up to five contacts via a text message containing a map with their exact location whenever they need urgent assistance.
Charities that have adopted the app include Rape Crisis South London, What Allergy, Anaphylaxis UK, and Kent Search and Rescue. They receive a donation from each download.
