On Tuesday 24th June, Technology Trust, together with its partners Google and Media Trust, is holding free a Grow Your Charity Online event in Newcastle.
At this event you’ll learn how to create instant and engaging video content using your smartphone.
You can also have a 1:1 session with a Google expert on a whole range of free Google products ranging from YouTube to Google Grants.
Kim Nguyen at Technology Trust said: “If a picture’s worth a thousand words, a video can be worth a million. Connecting with supporters has always been important in the charity sector and thanks to new technologies and changes online, it’s easier than ever to do.”
eBay has proved to be one of the more effective ways to engage donors online and raise funds. While a lot of the money raised comes from the sale of goods, successful charities have also managed to establish a donor base that allows them to raise ongoing funds.
Charities believe corporate fundraising is a key growth area. But recent research by the IoF has revealed that just 7% of charities with a corporate fundraising programme feel that it is “fully developed”. With this in mind, Virgin Money Giving is hosting a series of free live events between 5th and 7th October to help charities grow their corporate fundraising.
