UK charity Street Child Africa will launch a new campaign on 20th June, Barefoot Friday, which asks people to photograph their feet, share it on social media with the hashtag #footsie and donate £3 via text to the charity.
Street Child Africa is also asking the public to ‘Foot-Nominate’ a friend by tagging them in a post and encouraging them to do the same.
Sheila Lutchanah, head of fundraising at Street Child Africa, said: “The campaign is really simple and we wanted to put our message across in a modern, vibrant way which appeals to how people prefer to donate to charity these days now. Taking a tongue in cheek poke at the Selfie and inventing the #footsie is genius!”
