Technology Trust announced on Tuesday that Bitdefender® antivirus software is now available to eligible UK charities through its tt-exchange software donation programme for nearly 90% off the retail list price. Organisations can choose from a range of packages including Bitdefender Internet Security, which was voted antivirus software of the year for 2014 by PCmag.com.
Bitdefender provides organisations with fast scanning and non-intrusive protection against viruses. Its scanning software adapts to each computer so it does not disrupt or slow down day-to-day working. The cloud-based software was originally designed with consumers in mind, so does not require IT or security experts to implement or use, making it ideal for charities of all sizes to run.
The software can be installed onto an unlimited number of Windows or Mac desktops to serve against malware and web threats. In addition, Bitdefender is also ideal for charities that take online donations as is software secures online payments and protects organisations’ internet connections via its firewall.
“Up-to-date antivirus software is essential for keeping any IT system safe,” said Catalin Cosoi, chief security strategist at Bitdefender. “The charity sector is no exception to this and we are pleased to be able to offer our award winning solution to charities through tt-exchange”.
“There is a demand from the charities we work with for easy to use, affordable antivirus software that they can implement and run themselves,” said Richard Craig, CEO of Technology Trust. “Bitdefender ticks all of these boxes and we’re thrilled to be able to offer tt-exchange subscribers access to unlimited packages from Bitdefender for only a small admin fee.”
The following packages are available for organisations to request via tt-exchange within a fiscal year:
- unlimited number of Bitdefender Antivirus
- unlimited number of Bitdefender Internet Security
- 25 Bitdefender Client Security and Management Server
- 100 Bitdefender Small Office Security
