Following an international tender, Plan International has signed a contract with Salmon Software for the installation of its Treasury Management System (TMS), Salmon Treasurer.
The charity had been using spreadsheets to manage its cash, foreign exchange and branch funding.
Annemarie Moore, Group Treasurer, Plan International Inc. said: “We asked for expressions of interest from 19 companies. Following detailed questionnaires and demonstrations from five shortlisted companies we selected Salmon Software. Our selection team was made up of treasury, accounting and IT. We had unanimous agreement on Salmon because of its cost, functionality, flexibility and ease of use.
“The Salmon team has been very helpful during the implementation starting with automated reporting. The expectation is that it is fully compatible with our 360T Trading Networks. In addition, it is integrated with our SAP Financial ERP system.”
“Plan International raised almost €700m across multiple currencies last year and does fantastic work on behalf of child poverty,” added John Byrne, CEO, Salmon Software, which is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. “It was a privilege to be able to help them streamline their reporting, foreign exchange, money market and cash management.”
