Go Sober for October, Macmillan’s fundraising campaign asking people to give up drink for a month, has hit the £1m mark, and still has over a week to go.
The campaign echoes Cancer Research UK’s Dryathlon, which raised £4m in January.
The charity has a dedicated Twitter stream for Go Sober, and tweeted “So proud of all our sober-heroes!” as the £1m mark was reached.
