Leading GPS tracking provider RAM Tracking has assisted an inspirational charity fundraiser, Craig Walter, in raising money for charity.
Craig travelled 2,342 miles across the UK, all of which were tracked by RAM and published in an interactive map so friends, family and supporters could follow his journey. Craig’s Challenge was the first to be supported by RAM’s recently launched RAM Foundation, a programme created to extend the benefits of GPS vehicle tracking to charity events. In the past, RAM’s support of charity initiatives through vehicle tracking and the provision of an interactive map have resulted in between a 30-40 per cent increase in donations, and the RAM Foundation aims to boost this offering.
RAM also pledged a donation for every new customer order taken during the 12 day journey. £4,000 was raised overall, which will be split equally between Martin House Children’s Hospice in Yorkshire and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
Chris McClellan, Director of RAM Tracking said: “It’s been amazing to see the overwhelming support from colleagues, friends and family getting involved in fundraising for good causes. We can’t wait to see where the RAM Foundation goes from here – and urge any charities or challenges to get in touch.”
