Localgiving.com, the UK’s leading online website for small, local charities and community groups, raised more than GBP10,000 for rural charities in North Yorkshire with its North Yorkshire Match Fund, it has been reported.
For two weeks in July, Localgiving.com doubled monthly donations to rural North Yorkshire charities on the website up to GBP20.00 a month for six months, adding an extra GBP120.00 to the total received by the charity.
Barrie Evason, Founder of Jennyruth Workshop, says: “We’ve only been on Localgiving.com a short while but the match fund has already helped us to raise vital funds for the group. If you’re a small charity serving your local community, it makes perfect sense to take advantage of this opportunity.”
Charities and community groups wishing to learn more about the advantages of Localgiving.com should contact Project Coordinator, Nick Dodd on 07852 122329 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
