It’s one thing to get people to visit your charity website or social media page, and another to transform these visits into donations. Facebook apps have the potential to engage visitors and affiliate them with your cause. In a recent blog post, Reason Digital brings together four of the best charity Facebook apps.
- St John ambulance, Rescue Run. Designed to raise awareness, the app teaches the user basic lifesaving skills as they navigate their way down a virtual road and come across accidents.
- Barnardo’s, Re-write. This takes the user through a young girls abusive life, allowing them to rewrite the second half of her story.
- Plan International, Because I am a girl. This is a microsite which is a one stop shop for all charity information, containing videos, fundraising and links to donation methods.
- Dog’s Trust, Mission Rabies. The app encourages supporters to share photos of their dogs to have them appear on a mobile vetinary truck.
