Three small charities, African Children’s Fund, Creating Better Futures and the You Can Hub, have been announced as the winners of the Small Charity Week’s JustTextGiving by Vodafone competition and will be sharing GBP1,000 donated by the Vodafone Foundation.
JustTextGiving teamed up with the FSI during Small Charity Week to encourage small charities to utilise free technology to create innovative ways of engaging new supporters.
Pauline Broomhead, CEO of the FSI, the charity behind Small Charity Week said: “Fundraising is an increasingly difficult market so we were delighted to work with JustTextGiving by Vodafone to make small charities aware of the different technologies available to them at no cost and the creative ways in which these could be used.”
Charities with an annual turnover under GBP1.5 million are still able to gain free support from the FSI.
Charities believe corporate fundraising is a key growth area. But recent research by the IoF has revealed that just 7% of charities with a corporate fundraising programme feel that it is “fully developed”. With this in mind, Virgin Money Giving is hosting a series of free live events between 5th and 7th October to help charities grow their corporate fundraising.
