Social change network IVO has launched a new Portfolio tool to help volunteers share their work online. With funding from Nominet Trust, the Portfolios will provide a permanent record of volunteers’ previous work, endorsed by charities they have worked for.
The launch of new tool follows a report from IVO which found a 200% increase on the level of volunteering through their site last year.
IVO CEO Jamie Ward-Smith, said: “Portfolios will enable volunteers of all ages to capture and showcase the amazing work they do and will provide a simple solution for charities and companies to keep track of the impact that their volunteers and staff are having in the community. Plus they provide an easy way for volunteer managers to publicly thank their volunteers by endorsing their work.”
