With all the digital technologies out there to choose from, there are even more ways to promote your charity through the internet. One way of doing this is by hiring a blogger to raise awareness of your cause. A recent article for Reason Digital suggests a few tips to bear in mind if you decide to choose this route. We have summarised these below:
- Do your research. Find a blogger who will fit in well with your charity. Look for high quality work – they will be representing your charity, after all.
- Set objectives. Ask yourself what you want to gain from using a blogger. Is it to drive donations or simply raise awareness?
- Get to know them. Find out their story and why they are affiliated with your cause.
- Return the favour by promoting their blog, linking to their site from your social media channels and retweeting where possible.
