Making amendments to your donation form could help to boost your organisation’s online fundraising very quickly. In a recent post for npENGAGE, Blackbaud’s director of customer marketing, Amy Bills, puts forward a put small changes you could make which will make a lot of difference.
- Ask relevant information only. If you ask the user too much, making the process lengthy and complicated, they might get bored and leave the page.
- Keep distractions to a minimum. Avoid multiple links away to other pages, keeping the user’s attention solely on the donation itself.
- Ensure security. A lot of people are still hesitant to enter their payment details online. Making sure you have the ‘lock’ symbol and the ‘https’ in the URL will give your potential donors peace of mind.
