Washington DC-based crowdfunding website, StartSomeGood, has extended its services across the UK, it has been reported. The site will now allow users to raise money for social impact projects in pounds.
If a campaign reaches its fundraising goal then a charge of 5% and Paypal processing fees are taken, if it fails to reach the goal then there are no charges. Projects that are put forward are vetted by staff before they go live and money can start being raised. The site’s venture support service also contains advice on creating a fundraising strategy.
