It’s important to engage with your supporters to raise as much money as you can for your cause. But have you left it too late? In a recent article for Reason Digital, Jo Dunning brings together some tops tips to bear in mind if you find yourself fundraising last minute.
- Keep your online donations page up to date. Inform your donors about your progress and keep them in the know. If you’ve been neglecting your page, post a video or picture to encourage people to engage with your cause.
- Utilise social media in all its forms. Create a Facebook page with links to your donation platform. Send out tweets and engage people in conversations to increase the number of people likely donate.
- Create a sense of urgency. Tell people how long they have left to donate. People are often put off making donations until the last minute so use this time wisely and engage them.
- Add a signature to your email, linking to your donation page. Any emails you send out could generate additional, wider support.
