As part of small charity week, eBay has launched a competition for small charities with an annual turnover of under GBP1.5m to promote their fundraising message to online shoppers as they make their purchase. They are then asked to donate to charity – last year over GBP17,000 was raised.
Five charities will be chosen. To enter, submit a 90 character fundraising message by the 29th May 2013.
Lorin May, Head of Charity and Sustainability, eBay Europe said: “eBay for Charity allows charities of any size, large and small, to raise unrestricted funds via donations from eBay users or charities’ own trading. To date more than £48 million has been raised for over 7,500 organisations, and we look forward to working with more small charities to help them use eBay to fundraise.”
