Laurel Funerals has collaborated with JustGiving to deliver the first digital donation service specifically for the funeral sector. The service will change memorial giving, allowing funeral goers to contribute to chosen charities online or by text at a time convenient to them.
New new online system will reduce time spent on admin. More money is hoped to be raised due to the ease of making a donation.
CEO of Laurel Funerals, Deborah Kemp, says: “Our partnership with JustGiving not only makes the donation process easier at a difficult time, but it also gives the families more control and choice around how such funds are collected and shared with the chosen organisation.”
Howard Bell, partnerships director at JustGiving, said: “Our partnership with Laurel now means that more money will be raised for the appointed charities, while significantly reducing the administration time funeral directors spend processing donations.”
