Wendy Hubbard, a seventy one year old who thought it was time that charities used technology and online services more, has launched a new giving platform www.mycharitybingo.com. Powered by the leading online charity donation website, Just Giving, the website allows users to play bingo to support any of 8000 of the charities registered.
The site has integrated Just Giving’s API search software on their recommendation, which aims to help users choose a charity to donate to. Out of every GBP1.00 gained, 75 pence goes to charity. The remaining 25 pence goes towards server and 24 hour chat and support costs, and this figure is expected to decrease as the site gains more popularity. Functional Games made the online donation platform possible by supplying the site free of charge in partnership with Aberrant software.
