After a successful trial period in 2011, British Red Cross has decided to launch a first of its kind “Give and Gain” loyalty card in its 320 shops around the UK. Customers will be rewarded with one point for every pound they spend in store. Vouchers will then be distributed in return for their points earned, which can then be reimbursed back into the charity, by simple donation or purchasing goods in store.
It is the charity’s aim to draw a wider demographic into their stores, and they hope they will exceed last year’s income of six million pounds. The retail development manager at British Red Cross, Miranda Bradley said, “Our shops have a loyal customer following and it is important to make them feel special.”
